Each week, before you enter your weekly department meeting, you feel confident that you have achieved a good deal since your last gathering. All the high-priority items have been checked off your to-do list and you are in a good place to start the week. But when your weekly department meeting adjourns and you exit the conference room, somehow your list of priorities and tasks has tripled in size. There are a handful of projects on said list that you don’t even have the skill-set for. The problem is, neither does anyone else in your organization. Those projects consistently seem to be the ones that get pushed to the back burner and brought up again three months down the road. Sigh, life in the nonprofit world.
